Dear President Muhammadu Buhari
I deem it fit as a citizen of this GREAT country Nigeria, to write you to address certain pertinent issues as regarding the growth and development of Nigeria. Before I proceed, I once again wish to congratulate you on your emergence as the President of the country at the last concluded presidential election. It is of great importance I wish to let you know that the outcome of the election followed due process and the out-going president GEJ did the needed by quickly accepting defeat before the conclusion of the count and also putting a phone call through to you to let you know he meant it when he said "his re-election isn't worth the blood of anyone."
Mr president, I wish to remind you of your too many PROMISES to Nigeria that I believe the people will want to see many of them happen instantly, from free daily food to every primary school in the country, to the outrageous slashing of petrol prices, to the rapid change from 1(one) Dollar to 1(one) Naira. I do respect your revered position as the President of my country but I know too well that 'to whom much is given much is expected,' and as Nigerians have given you their trust to help stir the ship to the promise land, you will have to repay that trust with prompt and drastic development to help mellow their too much anxiousness.
There are many sectors that Nigerians demand a quick-fix. Sectors like, Power, Refineries, Education, employment et al. This said sectors are what will make your stay in 4 years a memorable one since Nigerians has since demand change in those sectors. I still wish you try compliment GEJ's transformation plan by helping continue some of his works and project that he have started even after he leaves office, such feat will be commended by both him "GEJ" and every other stakeholders involved in them.
These are few points I did highlight you try do as the PRESIDENT.
~As the President that you are, you must act overall as the President of Nigeria and not the leader of a certain political party not just by mere saying but by actions.
~Your ministerial lists MUST be made up of sure-worthy technocrats that have excelled in their respected fields to further continue the Transformation agenda of the outgoing government.
~you must caution governors in their spending so u curtail the too much sad tales of non payment of salaries and arrears of their state workforce.
~The process that made you emerge as the president is free, fair and moreso peaceful because the incumbent deemed it fit not to contest or wrestle power the true African way. Same should exist in every elections u conduct.
~ You should reduce the too much power accrued to the HEAD 'Executives' and also make independent the Judiciary arms of the government.
~Advise Governors to pass FOI bills in their respective states so citizens can question wrongdoings and inflated budgets in every sphere of government spending.
~ Don't hinder the FREE PRESS SOCIETY being championed by the NEW MEDIA. Understand criticism is part and parcel of a Leader's fate. Don't shut critics with force, shut them by your developmental actions.
As you do at least all of this, I see you emerging as one of the greatest leader and HErO of our time.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
God bless the people of Nigeria
God bless you 'Mr President' and your household.
