AN ANALYSIS ARTICLE OF MAYWEATHER'S VICTOTY OVER PACMAN written by midasnonso

I tried my best to catch the glimpse of the biggest fight in terms of 'branding and packaging,' it did not live to expectation same way most over-anticipated billings do. Due to time differences, the date was altered continental wise while some watched theirs on a Saturday, we right here in Africa and Nigeria to be specific saw ours on Sunday 03/05/2015. It was more or less a tight feist, from the too much money on displays as regards millions betting on their preferr

The whole creme de lacreme came out en-masse to cheer the Money Gang and the greatest pound for pound fighter #PacMan, Hotels around hiked their fees because prominent faces will be present and an unimaginable $1500,that's about 270,000 in naira was the cheapest fee to gain entrance to the event. Don't be surprised, the tickets got finished in a split of seconds. Social media went abuzz as the whole 'twitter sphere' experience some major loose out as every one anticipated for the fight and later did analyze after. So much was to be gained from the fight, from the huge TV rights and sponsorship to the accessories sold worldwide. It indeed live to expectation based on the financial aspect, the huge gains and the adequately publicized event.

To many, MAY did not really carry the day even PACMAN did think he won before hand. He even smiled when their both hands were held, to some they say PACMAN was robbed but who are we to question the decisions of boxing finest judges. The bout went into the golden 12 rounds.
MAY is someone that is result oriented and also a careful sportsman that knows what victory entails, he used some strategies though ugly to help scale over his opponents too much desperation.  It is more or less a fight that 'might' not be remembered in the nearest future because there were no outstanding displays and awful 'blood scenes' as many did expect it to be.

Now to the figures of the fight...

MAY made it 48-0, MAY is to pocket about $180million whether he wins it or not. The belt is estimated to be about 1.25million dollars meanwhile PACMAN is to go home with 120 million dollars, he wore a short valued at 1 million dollars, the fight itself from betting to TV rights to audience pay to accessories worldwide gulped to about 1billion dollars making it one of the biggest single sporting activity of all time.
In summary, the fight was won based on the sole word 'STRATEGY'. MAY exhibited a stiff and still policy that made him outshine a hungry PACMAN, he kept to his cool while PACMAN was all over running rounds to get his face, he was after sure result round after round, PAC was busy throwing empty punches that in the end made him lose.

Mayweather's brand aint just related to boxing alone, he lives a flamboyant lifestyle one so many say might lead to his downfall. He lives in a palatial residence, cruise around the world with his executive limited class private jet. He's one ego-filled human that I will liken to Chelsea's manager Jose Mourinho. Same as he's filled with ego is also as he has the onions, he knows what to do when to do and how to do. Manny the congressman from The Philippine is one that came from nothing and then to something. He's one of the most popular human from South Asia courtesy of his prowess in his boxing profession. PACMAN is one very humble fellow that gives almost everything he have to his 'beloved' mother, one he loves a lot. He's one that gives amply to the poor and has also featured in different foundations to help cater for his beloved nation.

The moral of the fight today is simple, ' It is not the best that wins most competition, it is the one that adhere strictly to his "winning strategy"' MAY wasn't the best man of the day but he came out TOP.  If we can replicate the morals learnt in the fight in our day to day activities, then we will win in all frontiers. @midasnonso facebook.com/chukwunonso.nzekwe
