OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BUHARI

Dear President Muhammadu Buhari

I deem it fit as a citizen of this GREAT country Nigeria, to write you to address certain pertinent issues as regarding the growth and development of Nigeria. Before I proceed, I once again wish to congratulate you on your emergence as the President of the country at the last concluded presidential election. It is of great importance I wish to let you know that the outcome of the election followed due process and the out-going president GEJ did the needed by quickly accepting defeat before the conclusion of the count and also putting a phone call through to you to let you know he meant it when he said "his re-election isn't worth the blood of anyone."

Mr president, I wish to remind you of your too many PROMISES to Nigeria that I believe the people will want to see many of them happen instantly, from free daily food to every primary school in the country, to the outrageous slashing of petrol prices, to the rapid change from 1(one) Dollar to 1(one) Naira. I do respect your revered position as the President of my country but I know too well that 'to whom much is given much is expected,' and as Nigerians have given you their trust to help stir the ship to the promise land, you will have to repay that trust with prompt and drastic development to help mellow their too much anxiousness.

There are many sectors that Nigerians demand a quick-fix. Sectors like, Power, Refineries, Education, employment et al. This said sectors are what will make your stay in 4 years a memorable one since Nigerians has since demand change in those sectors. I still wish you try compliment GEJ's transformation plan by helping continue some of his works and project that he have started even after he leaves office, such feat will be commended by both him "GEJ" and every other stakeholders involved in them.

These are few points I did highlight you try do as the PRESIDENT.

~As the President that you are, you must act overall as the President of Nigeria and not the leader of a certain political party not just by mere saying but by actions.

~Your ministerial lists MUST be made up of sure-worthy technocrats that have excelled in their respected fields to further continue the Transformation agenda of the outgoing government.

~you must caution governors in their spending so u curtail the too much sad tales of non payment of salaries and arrears of their state workforce.

~The process that made you emerge as the president is free, fair and moreso peaceful because the incumbent deemed it fit not to contest or wrestle power the true African way. Same should exist in every elections u conduct.

~ You should reduce the too much power accrued to the HEAD 'Executives' and also make independent the Judiciary arms of the government.

~Advise Governors to pass FOI bills in their respective states so citizens can question wrongdoings and inflated budgets in every sphere of government spending.

~ Don't hinder the FREE PRESS SOCIETY being championed by the NEW MEDIA. Understand criticism is part and parcel of a Leader's fate. Don't shut critics with force, shut them by your developmental actions.

As you do at least all of this, I see you emerging as one of the greatest leader and HErO of our time.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

God bless the people of Nigeria

God bless you 'Mr President' and your household.

P-Square Close To Splitting. Peter Okoye Moves Out Of Family House + Calls In Lawyer To Share Their Property

p1
On Friday the friction going on between the Okoye brothers started. When asked, P-Square’s publicist, Bayo Adetu, said the report is ‘baseless and untrue’. Unfortunately, it is not!  The twin brothers Peter and Paul even engaged in physical combat on Wednesday.

Unfortunately P-Square fans, things are even worse than reported. According to findings, Peter Okoye wants out of P-Square and they have even gone as far as inviting a lawyer to divide their fortune…
This report is based on what’s been happening with the brothers up until right now Sunday April 20th. As of right now, Peter Okoye doesn’t want anything to do with P-Square. We are hoping that they will resolve their issues and realize that splitting will do no one good..

First, Peter Okoye has moved out of Squareville mansion in Omole where he lived with his brothers for years and now lives in Lekki Phase 1 with his wife Lola Omotayo and their children. An industry person who knows what’s been going on, said;
“Yes they fought this week. Peter even left a mark on Paul’s left eye. But the fight wasn’t during rehearsal, which rehearsal? Peter has refused to do anything P-Square for weeks now. Forget that he was at his brother’s wedding, things are not good between them right now. Peter wants out. He said Paul and Jude are sidelining him. That if they push out 200 songs, 199 would be songs Paul did. That people are now calling him a dancer in P-Square. Peter is really angry. He’s even the cool and friendly one between the brothers but he is not himself right now. And then he accused his brother Jude of disrespecting his wife. Peter and Jude haven’t spoken in weeks. Peter said Jude has been disrespecting Lola for years and he was done tolerating the BS. In fact Peter said that not only is Lola older than Jude, but that she’s also pregnant and Jude was upsetting a pregnant woman. If you notice Jude didn’t attend their wedding last year despite the fact that he was in Nigeria. Jude asked Peter why he didn’t marry Lola when their mother was alive. Jude said it’s his wife that is pushing him and they will need to pray for him. In fact nobody in the Okoye family likes Lola and they didn’t support the marriage. The brothers are really angry at each other. The police is even involved. This week, either the commissioner of police or someone from his office visited their house.
The worst part is that they have invited lawyer to come and share property o. They want to share everything. The lawyer was at their house I think on Thursday. Peter said no more P-Square joint ventures. You know they own everything together, including a house in Omole, Parkview and Atlanta. Except something is done fast P-Square is about to be finished. But I know that people have been intervening and begging them to reconsider, that they are the biggest musical duo in Africa. Nobody will benefit if they split. The power to make money is in their togetherness.
It is Jude people are begging to keep the brothers together, but after what he tweeted yesterday, it may truly be over for P-Square. Jude has really tried for his brothers, for him to give up may mean it’s over for them.
He practically put his entire life on hold for his brothers. Even sold his first car to shoot their first video but all that is about to come to an end like he tweeted. The only thing that can save the situation is if by a miracle Jude and Lola settle their differences but I don’t see that happening”

PHOTO: WOMAN ARRESTED FOR RAPING A MAN AT GUN POINT

WM
Ciera Ross, a mother of two, has been arrested and charged with raping a man. According to CBS Chicago, Ross and a friend were driving on the North Side of Chicago when they saw a man walking down the street in late July.
Ross, 25, stopped and asked the 33-year-old man if he wanted a ride. The man took the offer, but Ross’ true intentions became evident when she pulled a gun on the man. She forced the man to go to the backseat and told him to have sex with her friend. The man pleaded for the women to stop after they made him fondle the woman’s breasts and butt.
Ross then ordered the man to take his clothes off and her friend began to assault him sexually. The women also took $200 and credit cards from the man.
The male victim was able to escape when he saw a taxi cab and ran from the car naked. The cab driver allowed the man to use his cellphone to take a picture of Ross’ license plate. Chicago police arrested Ross on Sept. 3 and the victim identified her as the assailant.
Ross has been arrested for prostitution in the past. She was charged with rape and armed robbery and held on a $75,000 bond. Her friend has yet to be charged.

AN ANALYSIS ARTICLE OF MAYWEATHER'S VICTOTY OVER PACMAN written by midasnonso

I tried my best to catch the glimpse of the biggest fight in terms of 'branding and packaging,' it did not live to expectation same way most over-anticipated billings do. Due to time differences, the date was altered continental wise while some watched theirs on a Saturday, we right here in Africa and Nigeria to be specific saw ours on Sunday 03/05/2015. It was more or less a tight feist, from the too much money on displays as regards millions betting on their preferr

The whole creme de lacreme came out en-masse to cheer the Money Gang and the greatest pound for pound fighter #PacMan, Hotels around hiked their fees because prominent faces will be present and an unimaginable $1500,that's about 270,000 in naira was the cheapest fee to gain entrance to the event. Don't be surprised, the tickets got finished in a split of seconds. Social media went abuzz as the whole 'twitter sphere' experience some major loose out as every one anticipated for the fight and later did analyze after. So much was to be gained from the fight, from the huge TV rights and sponsorship to the accessories sold worldwide. It indeed live to expectation based on the financial aspect, the huge gains and the adequately publicized event.

To many, MAY did not really carry the day even PACMAN did think he won before hand. He even smiled when their both hands were held, to some they say PACMAN was robbed but who are we to question the decisions of boxing finest judges. The bout went into the golden 12 rounds.
MAY is someone that is result oriented and also a careful sportsman that knows what victory entails, he used some strategies though ugly to help scale over his opponents too much desperation.  It is more or less a fight that 'might' not be remembered in the nearest future because there were no outstanding displays and awful 'blood scenes' as many did expect it to be.

Now to the figures of the fight...

MAY made it 48-0, MAY is to pocket about $180million whether he wins it or not. The belt is estimated to be about 1.25million dollars meanwhile PACMAN is to go home with 120 million dollars, he wore a short valued at 1 million dollars, the fight itself from betting to TV rights to audience pay to accessories worldwide gulped to about 1billion dollars making it one of the biggest single sporting activity of all time.
In summary, the fight was won based on the sole word 'STRATEGY'. MAY exhibited a stiff and still policy that made him outshine a hungry PACMAN, he kept to his cool while PACMAN was all over running rounds to get his face, he was after sure result round after round, PAC was busy throwing empty punches that in the end made him lose.

Mayweather's brand aint just related to boxing alone, he lives a flamboyant lifestyle one so many say might lead to his downfall. He lives in a palatial residence, cruise around the world with his executive limited class private jet. He's one ego-filled human that I will liken to Chelsea's manager Jose Mourinho. Same as he's filled with ego is also as he has the onions, he knows what to do when to do and how to do. Manny the congressman from The Philippine is one that came from nothing and then to something. He's one of the most popular human from South Asia courtesy of his prowess in his boxing profession. PACMAN is one very humble fellow that gives almost everything he have to his 'beloved' mother, one he loves a lot. He's one that gives amply to the poor and has also featured in different foundations to help cater for his beloved nation.

The moral of the fight today is simple, ' It is not the best that wins most competition, it is the one that adhere strictly to his "winning strategy"' MAY wasn't the best man of the day but he came out TOP.  If we can replicate the morals learnt in the fight in our day to day activities, then we will win in all frontiers. @midasnonso facebook.com/chukwunonso.nzekwe

BUHARI HAS NO POWER TO STOP HIM FROM COVERING HIM- DOKPESI

Raymond Dokpesi

The proprietor of Daar Communications PLC, Raymond Dokpesi, has stated that Monday’s decision by the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, to bar one of its subsidiaries, Africa Independent Television, from covering his activities was an attempt by the former military Head of State to bring back the era of Decree 4.
Mr. Dokpesi said Mr. Buhari lacks the power to stop the AIT from covering his activities, as doing so would amount to breaking the law.
Mr. Buhari as Head of State promulgated Decree 4, tagged Public Officers (Protection Against False Accusation) on March 29, 1984.
The law was drafted to punish authors of false statements and reports that exposed the Buhari administration and/or its officials to ridicule or contempt. Many journalists were arrested and jailed under the law.
Mr. Buhari’s party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Tuesday reversed the decision of the president-elect to stop AIT, saying all accredited media houses are free to report on his activities.
But speaking exclusively to PREMIUM TIMES Tuesday, Mr. Dokpesi stated that Mr. Buhari should be reminded that he cannot return Nigeria to the era of Decree 4.
“I am sure that the President-elect needs to be reminded of Decree 4, and he should be clearly reminded that section 32 of the constitution makes it mandatory for the media to hold public officials accountable to the people,” he said.
He also said Section 39 of the constitution equally grants Nigerians the freedom of expression and to hold opinion.
“The president-elect said that he does not want to be covered by AIT, but AIT has a responsibility to the Nigerian public to report the things that are happening,” he said.
“There are three national networks available for national coverage in Nigeria, the NTA, AIT and Silverbirds. You cannot stop a foremost private station from reporting in Nigeria, it brings us back to Decree 4 era.”
Mr. Dokpesi also acknowledged that Mr. Buhari may have taken his decision based the documentaries ran by the station during the electioneering campaign.
He said Daar Communications is a commercial entity and therefore reserves the right to run anything it considers worthy of being televised. He said there is also a right of response available to anyone who feels strongly about any matter broadcast by the station.
“If they had produced their own documentary to say this is what we want and AIT did not publish it, then that is another matter,” he said.
“What is obviously very clear is the fact that AIT believes that the historical information about the President elect that were ran, were factually correct. Nothing was done to defame him or impinge on his character or integrity.”
Mr. Dokpesi also added that another documentary about one of the national leaders of APC, Bola Tinubu were also factually correct.
The media proprietor said although the documentaries were produced outside of Daar communications, “We take responsibility for the running of these items and I as an individual is satisfied because due diligence was followed in ensuring that the things that are contained were factually right”.
