It was a tough online beauty contest, from the Facebook session to that of the Instagram .
50 beautiful contestants avail themselves to compete who emerge the  Face of Emerald Divas Nigeria 2016 , which happens to be the maiden edition. At the end, 19 years old Virginia Nwaebina emerged winner , having the highest accumulated votes both on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM.

In other segments,‎ Queen Merit Obi emerged as FEDIN- Miss Tourism 2016 ,Queen Marycynthia Ezeata emerged as FEDIN- Miss Personality 2016 and Queen Sandra Ogbodo emerged as FEDIN - Miss Photogenic 2016 ‎

The Emerald Teal-white Seminar by Queen Stephanie Ohre

Twenty-one year old Delta State born, Queen Stephanie Ohre, was crowned Queen of Emerald Nigeria North-West 2016 on the 1st of may 2016 at the Queen of Emerald Nigeria beauty pageant.

She took to her State of Origin to carry out her first pet project which she tagged, The Emerald Teal-White Seminar - a cervical cancer seminar project, which featured; Free Lectures on Cervical Cancer by Dr. Dunsin Taiwo , Question and Answer Section, and a Free Cervical Cancer Screening test (aka smear pap test).

Over a hundred and fifty (150) women participated for the Cervical Cancer Screening Test, which was professionally conducted by Dr. Dunsin Taiwo of Capitol Hill Hospital, Warri, Delta State.

Queen of Emerald Nigeria is an annual beauty pageant that has been orchestrated to raise beauty queens whose prior objective is to take up cervical cancer campaign projects that will promote more awareness; through Youth Empowerment Programmes, Advocacy, Public health promotions, Secondary/tertiary Institutions sensitization and so on, which entails educating all Nigerian women about the spread and ways to stop CERVICAL CANCER.

The theme of Queen of Emerald Nigeria is #fight against cervical cancer#. We are not well informed in this part of the world of this deadly disease and ways to curb them, therefore, the Queen (winner) and her ambassadors will be charged together with our sponsors to spread the awareness across Nigeria & beyond. We need young females to enlightening the teeming Nigerian women on the symptoms, effects and ways to treat Cervical Cancer.
